The White Dress
May 27, 2011
Friend of mine runs an online fashion magazine (which is still going through the process of redesigning..) and I work with her for different stories she features on Canadian fashion scene. Wedding fashion is also one of those stories magazine features.
The White Dress is the wedding dress shop located on Preston st. I didn’t have much time to spend that day for the shoot because I was running on a tight schedule but the owners were very nice and accomodating for me which was greatly appreciated!
Big thank you to Jasmine and Stacey!

Back in the lab
November 12, 2010
It’s been slow update on the blog so I thought maybe I should post something to keep the visitor updated!
2010 Wedding season is over 20111 seems like it’s going to be a busy year for both wedding and editorial photogrpahy for me. Also, there are few more exciting services I would like to add in the future and I’m working on that by hitting the books HARD. As to what services will be added will be announced as soon as it becomes official so stay tuned!
Other than photography, there is also film premier for Ottawa indie film that I am part of as a crew member (lighting & camera). The film EVOL will be screened at Mayfair theatre on November 19th and 20th! Come check it out! The director Pascal Aka is a friend of mine and also studied together at Carleton film studeis. His previous film won awards at ‘Action on Film’ festival and the current film also won awards. (I forgot which category…)
That’s it for now!
Winter Photoshoots are available for those that want to have fun in the snow!
ślubu @ Kemptville | Aga + Jon
October 6, 2010
I think that’s how you say ‘wedding’ in Polish?? I just ran it through google translator but correct me if Google failed.
Aga and Jon got married at Maplewood community centre out in Kemptville. My first time being there and gotta say, it’s a really nice place. The wedding also featured some Polish traditions such as coin toss, eating the salt dipped bread and some delicious Polish cuisine for the reception. Awesome.
Friendly tip and note to self.. When you wear dark coloured clothing to blend in with the crowd, make sure you are not bleding in too much with the ‘environment’. Asphalt to be more specific. I was laying down flat on the road to get a shot of the couple on the train track and we were only concerned about the train and did NOT think about the car. It was dusk and a van nearly ran me over as it went speeding down the road. I live to shoot another wedding!

I’m still in the lab (aka editing photos) with the photos from their wedding but I really like this photo so maybe I will post it up as a teaser for the full post which will be up in the near future.

Kyla + Nik Engagement Photo Shoot
September 21, 2010
@ Pinhey’s Point
Kyla and Nik met me at a random photo assignment from Carleton student paper. I used to be one of the photographers there long time ago and briefly worked as a photo editor. The article was about young couple in university getting married. We met at Mooney’s bay where we had our photoshoot for the paper and briefly talked about finding a wedding photographer for their wedding. Few weeks later, Kyla contacted me and hired me for their wedding!! (Oct. 8, 2011) It’s funny because I’m used to getting called for assignments on the day of or few days to a week earlier. Now I have to wait a whole year!!! I really do like the anticipation though. I have my time to prepare and pre-visualize the concept for their wedding.
The engagement photo session took place at Piney’s Point. We were worried about the rain but it stayed overcast the whole time and I think the weather really tied in nicely with the mood and the atmosphere that day.
The photos are also in the ‘Featured’ section of my website!!

Big thank you to Pinhey’s Point for letting us take photographs inside the building!
Gauri’s Wedding Preparation.
September 17, 2010
Long time Charlatan friend Gauri contacted me to ‘invite’ me to her wedding. I would have loved to be there but unfortunately things didn’t pan out the way we wanted. I did get to shoot a bit of her preparation before the ceremony!
Congratulations Gauri!

Ottawa Wedding Show done!
September 15, 2010

[Photo of my booth at Landsdowne park Ottawa wedding show this past weekend with my asistant Megan!]
Met other great photographers and vendors around the city, had fun, few lessons learned for future shows, and overall great experience!! It was a very busy weekend as i had photo exhibition on friday (day before the first day of the wedding show) at Canteen for House of Paint flashback! event. Setting up day for the wedding show was also friday which meant that I had a full day of running around the city. Photo exhibition was really fun as I got to see some friends I haven’t seen in awhile but also didn’t want to stay out too late for the wedding show. It was great to have some of my photos from previous House of Paint event featured along with photos from other photographers!
Saturday & Sunday
First time being at the show got me little bit nervous after seeing how nicely decroated other photographers’ booth were. Hoping the brides would like my photography instead of my booth.. The location wasn’t by the main hallway either so it wasn’t as crowded or busy. Still had good traffic coming through and received some very nice compliments from the brides!!
The show organizer also put on fashion show and this is the downtime for most vendors as everyone is hanging out by the show area. Good time to give those legs a bit of rest. Megan and I took turns for the lunch break and I had a bit of a nightmare as 4 wasps attacked my lunch and wouldn’t leave it alone. Luckily I managed to get my lunch back without getting bitten.
After the show, I got few inquiries already and hope to have very busy first official year in 2011! Oddly enough, editorial and commercial side have also picked up..
